Indulge in an unparalleled culinary affair over two enchanting nights, where the art of Indian cuisine meets the charm of Greek ingredients. This exclusive event assembled the distinguished Chef Sonukumar Singh of Johri, the visionary creator Abhishek Honawar, and the esteemed Head of Operations at Honar Group.

This trio of culinary connoisseurs will orchestrate a sophisticated exploration of Indian gastronomy, making the trip from the land of deserts across the high seas to the island region of Oliaros. Experience a symphony of flavors as these masters of the culinary world elevate the fusion of cultures to new heights, creating a dining experience that is both exquisite and unforgettable.

The Rooster’s farm setup unveils the perfect location for this collaborative occasion. Rusticity spread on-site bonding with the beauty of brownish landscapes in this alfresco setting brings the attendees to the epitome of gastronomic experiences.

Not to forget, the soundtrack of goat bell chimes and winds rustling offers a purely farm-based dining experience.

Infusion of Indian and Greek Cooking Masters

Culinary movements best progress when reputed, time-tested chefs bring about cultural infusion. In the case of The Johri and The Rooster’s collaborative evening, you’ll be feasting on preparations by an exciting mix of gourmet chefs. While the Indian chefs will set palettes ablaze with flavour, The Rooster’s Executive Chef, Simos Triantafyllou, and in-house baker, Despoina Bitzaraki, will lend their touch of magic throughout the cookout.

Attendees can expect a primarily vegetal-based six-course set meal stocked with authentic desi recipes. What’s interesting here is how they’ll be mindfully adapted to the tastebuds of locals in Greece. Moreover, some desserts and the paneer will be made from farm-fresh goat’s milk. Rest assured, the focus on seasonality will offer you the freshest, most delectable dishes you’ve tasted in a while.

Guests will be treated to Indian flatbreads made in unison with the sourdough starter at The Rooster. This starter continues to evolve The Rooster’s bakery produce, churning out flavourful breads prepared from organic materials sourced at the farm. Combined with the nuances of Indian flatbreads, you’re given a mix of healthy and tasty comestibles.

Décor Sourced from the Cyclades and The Johri

A collective total of 80 guests are welcomed to grace this culinary affair across two nights. You’ll witness a beautiful decorative attempt to merge materials from The Johri and bespoke crafts produced in the Cyclades, otherwise called encircling islands. From a series of fabrics and textiles to Rajasthani-centric crockery, a collaboration between the creative director of Johri, Naina Shah, and interior-designer-cum-founder of Rooster, Athanasia Comninos, summons a handshake of stalwart artists in the boutique hotel space.

Underscoring the philosophy of food being a universal language, both these brands intend to bring together several other elements to elevate the aura at this experience. You’re introduced to a genuinely sensory experience topped with the intertwined goodness of soft cultural music and dietary innovations brewed through the result of cheerful interactions between these two brands.
