Design

A testament to the old-world charm of Rajputana styles, RAAS Devigarh is a heritage property with its origin and construction tracing back to the 18th century. Completed in 1790, the palace retains much of its original exterior and has been continually restored, making it a luxurious oasis. Try not to be entranced by the horse murals, mirrored ante-chambers, courtyards, arches, turrets, swings, marble bowls of flowers and a thousand candles under the starlit sky. The ancient, ornate background juxtaposed with the minimalist luxe interior – RAAS Devigarh blurs the lines between the 18th and the 21st century.

Staying in a suite at RAAS Devigarh feels like stepping back in time. Marble walls and flooring ornate with semi-precious stones, local handicraft retrofitted in modern artwork, traditional motifs, adjoined aangans (courtyards), private sit-outs, black granite pool are just few of the many things that give each suite its own distinct charm.

Finished with modern amenities and overlooking the spectacular Delwara village, a stay here is an invitation to explore.

Experiences

RAAS Devigarh attracts a host of spiritual and religious travellers due to its proximity to some of the grandest Jain and Hindu temples. From Shrinathji in Nathdwara to Eklinj, the surrounding area echoes with temple bells and the heady fragrance of paraphernalia. And if temple-hopping isn’t on your list, a hike up Sajjangarh or Chittorgarh will immerse you in tales of battle and resistance, framed by sweeping views of the countryside.

Within the hotel’s walls, the journey turns inward. RAAS Devigarh’s wellness programme centres on Ayurveda and Yogic traditions, offering guided yoga and meditation, an indulgent spa, and a curated wellness menu — an invitation to truly disconnect.

Food & Drinks

Dining at RAAS Deivgarh doesn’t stop at the menu; it is elevated in small corners of the palace, designed to host small and large gatherings alike. Once a spot to entertain queens and royal guests, Sheesh Mahal is now open for intimate dinners.

The pool deck, with its breathtaking view of the Aravalli and the sunset in the background, is perfect for high tea or cocktails. The Garden Dining is where the chef’s canvas is brought to life with a farm-to-table experience; the Hawa Gokhra, with its windows, built initially to harness energy and keep the palace cool, turns into a beautiful, intimate set-up for a quiet dinner. The sound of cascading water from the fountains surrounds the Durbar Bar, offering a central double-height view of the mountain range, craft cocktails, and a refuge after a long day. The Restaurant is where the real magic unfolds. A seasonal menu designed to include local produce, it serves regional and international cuisine.
