History

The assembly of His Highness Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur and seasoned hotelier and restaurateur Abhishek Honawar has given birth to an experiential tasting menu restaurant and cocktail bar. A culinary museum where the name “Sarvato” originally attracted inspiration from the Sanskrit term for “all-encompassing”. In archaic times, this structure would hold ceremonial gatherings and royal audiences within the City Palace complex.

You’ll witness an architectural gem of Rajasthani and Mughal design that features symmetrical layouts and the iconic Chhatri (canopy). While it was initially built for state meetings and celebratory feasts, its open layout graces the areas with streaks of natural lighting, and dining under the stars.

Mindfully kept against the scene of the Chandra Mahal, The Sarvato’s terrace gives vistas of Jaipur’s illuminated cityscape. Moreover, the Chhatri, its centrepiece, anchors the restaurant’s aesthetic and even shows its identity, which is prominently marinated in the logo.

Tasting Restaurant

More than one of sustenance, food at The Sarvato reminds us of stories waiting to be tasted. The six-course tasting menu is a curated homage to Rajasthan’s deep-seated culinary legacy. From a selection of regionally galvanized curries to hero main courses, you’ll even be served breads from a tableside experiential trolley.

Hors d’Oeuvres (outside the ordinary) dishes like the Murg Tikka Masala and Achaari Olives are graciously served in hand-designed bowls highlighting culturally preferred textures and colours.

A nostalgic finale awaits with Badam Halwa Kulfi, a delightful unification of two youth treasures for all Indians. This, coupled with a curated selection of traditional Rajasthani sweets will treat your sweet tooth well.

Not to forget, these six courses are paired with cocktails prepared by trained mixologists and hand-selected wines sourced directly from wineries.

Gallery Café

Running throughout the daytime across the year with a capacity of 40 people, The Gallery Café presents delicious variations of chai, coffee, and traditional snacks. Sip on a zesty Kombucha or chilled beer and place an order for classic kachoris, samosas, and a lot more.

All in all, the café’s open-air design presents an ideal respite for visitors exploring the palace. Do spare some time to observe the soft interplay of sunlight and the architectural marvels of the Mubarak Mahal.
